Additionally, for those who have experienced surfing but are struggling to improve or those who want to practice more seriously, a school is recommended. With lessons and advice suited to your level, you will be able to steadily improve your skills. The surfing school is, after all, a lesson with the goal of improving your abilities.

[Target Audience] Intermediate to Advanced
Basically, once you reach a certain level, being able to paddle on your own, get out to the waves, and perform take-offs while riding the face of the wave, you can sign up for a surf guide service.
What does a surf guide service offer? (In the case of Decom Surf Guide)
① They will accompany you for a full day of surfing in a dedicated vehicle (8 hours a day).
② They will choose the best surf spots that match your level based on the day's conditions and take you there.
③ They will assist you in the water to help you catch waves.
④ They will step in and resolve any troubles that occur in the water.
⑤ They will introduce you to delicious local restaurants in Bali, such as for lunch.
⑥ If you wish to purchase surfboards or other surf goods in Bali, they will introduce you to surf shops.
⑦ Sometimes, they will help you with take-offs or provide technical instruction.
⑧ In the event of an injury, they will respond flexibly to handle the situation.

If you're unsure whether to choose a surfing school or a surf guide service, it's best to start by signing up for a school.
After attending the school and consulting with the instructor, they will appropriately advise you, such as saying, "You can start with a surf guide from tomorrow" or "It would be better to practice a bit more in the school."

The surfing school courses are divided based on level and group size.
The levels are split into beginner and intermediate courses. The difference between the beginner and intermediate courses is the type of waves you will practice on.
In the beginner course, you practice on broken waves (the "soup") after the wave has crashed, while in the intermediate course, you practice on the slope (the "face") before the wave breaks. In other words, the practice location for the intermediate course is further out to sea.
Also, to choose waves that are easier to practice on (depending on the tide), the practice times for the beginner and intermediate courses differ. The beginner course practices during the time when the tide is lower, while the intermediate course is more suited to the time when the tide is higher.
As a guideline for the intermediate course level:
① Able to paddle out to the lineup (getting out).
② Able to perform a dolphin dive.
③ Able to take off.
④ Able to surf waves of a certain size (about chest height).
...These are the general criteria.

If you have tried surfing but still can't take off consistently, the beginner course would be the best option for you to practice from the basics and improve quickly.
The beginner course has several options depending on the number of participants.
● Private course with one instructor for one customer
● Semi-private course with one instructor for two customers
● Group lesson with one instructor for three customers (At Decom Surf, for safety reasons, each instructor teaches a maximum of three customers).
For children under 12, elderly individuals who may lack physical confidence, or women, we recommend private lessons where you can practice safely at your own pace.
Compared to private lessons in Hawaii, you can take private lessons at about one-fifth the price.
