A surfing experience full of laughter, countless falls, and the courage to keep trying a simple story of finding joy in every wave.
That morning, the blue ocean at Kuta Beach looked so inviting. The waves weren’t too big, but they were enough to make my heart race especially for someone trying surfing for the first time.
I stood on the sand, board in hand, trying to look calm… but inside, I was a mix of nervous and curious. “Can I really stand on the board?” that question kept spinning in my head.
Once I got into the water, everything felt different. The waves came without warning, and within seconds down I went! Not just once, but over and over again. The salty taste of the ocean on my lips, messy hair, and uncontrollable laughter every time I got wiped out.
Strangely, that’s where the fun was.
Every fall wasn’t a reason to give up it made me want to try again. With guidance from a patient and enthusiastic professional instructor, I began to understand the rhythm of the waves when to paddle, when to stand, and when to be ready to fall again.
And finally… there was one brief moment when I stood up. Not for long, maybe just a few seconds. But it felt amazing like all the effort had paid off.
That day wasn’t about being perfect or skilled. It was about having the courage to try, laughing at failures, and getting back up again.
Because it turns out, your first surfing experience isn’t about standing on the board for long it’s about enjoying every fall. 🌊🏄♀️✨
