That morning at Dekom Bali Surf School, gentle waves welcomed a young boy experiencing surfing for the very first time. With a board almost as big as his body, he stepped into the sea while listening carefully to the instructor’s simple guidance.

He fell on his first attempt saltwater in his nose, messy hair, then laughter. With no pressure, he tried again. Until a small wave came, and with a gentle push from behind, he stood up for a few seconds.

He didn’t become a surfer that day. But he went home carrying something more important: courage and confidence, born from his very first wave.
