I came to Kuta Beach with one goal: to be a cool surfer. With a board in my hand and full confidence, I imagined myself standing on the waves with style.

But just a few minutes in the water… I fell.
Tried again… fell again.
And again.

At first, I thought, “Why is this so hard?” But over time, every fall became funny. Saltwater in my mouth, messy hair but it only made me laugh more.

Can’t stand up yet? No worries.
As long as I’m happy.

With the help of an instructor, I slowly started learning paddling, timing, and balance. Even though I couldn’t stand for long, one thing changed: I began to enjoy the process.

That day, I realized surfing isn’t about being instantly good or looking cool. It’s about having the courage to try, falling without fear, and keeping a smile with every wave.

Because sometimes, what makes it addictive isn’t standing but the fun of falling again and again. 🌊🏄‍♀️✨
