Endless enthusiasm
At first, I thought surfing was just an ordinary sport.
Paddle, stand up for a moment, fall… done.
Turns out, I was completely wrong.
The moment I got into the ocean, everything turned into a mix of panic, laughter, exhaustion, and addiction all at once.
The first wave came.
I paddled with all my strength, tried to stand… and fell so quickly it felt like even the ocean was laughing at me.
But strangely, instead of feeling embarrassed, I found myself laughing.
That’s when I realized… surfing is actually so much fun.
Especially when you’re guided by an instructor whose energy never seems to run out.
Every time I fell, they would say,
“Come on, try again! That was good!”
even though I felt like there was nothing good about it 😄
They stayed patient, stayed motivated—sometimes even more than the students.
And then there were the friends around me, whose energy was just as endless.
Every time someone managed to stand for even a few seconds, everyone would cheer like they had just won a world championship.
And the funny part—when someone had the most dramatic fall… everyone would just laugh together.
It was exhausting.
My arms were sore, my legs weak, my face constantly hit by salty water.
But that’s exactly what made it addictive.
Because surfing isn’t just about being able to stand on the board.
It’s about enjoying the process of falling and getting back up, laughing together, and feeling the energy of the people around you.
And since that day, I finally understood why so many people always want to go back to the ocean 🌊🏄♂️😄
