HIGHLIGHT

I tried again.

That day was our very first time trying surfing.

Honestly, before getting into the ocean, we felt a mix of excitement and fear.
Watching the waves keep coming nonstop made me think,
“Can we really stand on the board?”

The instructor just smiled calmly and said,
“Relax, every surfer was once a beginner too.”

That sentence made me feel a little relieved… even though I was still nervous 😄

When we first tried paddling, it turned out to be much harder than it looked in the videos.
After only a few minutes, my arms were already getting sore.

Then the first wave came.

The instructor shouted,
“Paddle! Paddle! Stand up now!”

We tried to stand up as quickly as possible… and immediately fell into the water.

Splash!

As soon as I came back up to the surface, I started laughing.
Somehow, falling in the ocean felt funny instead of embarrassing.

We tried again.
Fell again.
Tried again.
Fell again.

But every time we fell, the instructor kept encouraging us,
“Good! Just a little more!”

And finally… on one small wave, we managed to stand up.

Only for a few seconds.
But it felt amazing.

The wind felt fresher, the waves felt more alive, and for the first time, I understood why so many people fall in love with surfing.

When we returned to the beach, our bodies were tired, our faces covered in salty water, and our hair was a mess.

But deep inside, I already knew one thing—

This would not be the last time we entered the ocean 🌊🏄‍♂️😄
