The result

Back then, we always entered the ocean together.
Cheering each other on, laughing whenever someone fell off the board, even competing for waves while joking around.

Whenever someone managed to take off, the others would immediately shout from behind,
“Woiii, that was awesome!”

Everything felt like a team that would never be separated.

But it turns out… in the ocean, there are times when friends become rivals.

That morning, the waves were really good.
The whole lineup was full of excitement.
I saw one perfect wave coming toward us, and in my heart I thought,
this wave is mine.

I started paddling with all my strength.

But from the side, my friend was chasing the exact same wave.

We looked at each other for a few seconds.
Neither of us wanted to give up.

And finally… we both took off at the same time.

The result?

A small collision on the wave 😄

We both fell, our boards flying everywhere, then came back up to the surface blaming each other.

“Hey, that was my wave!”

“No way, I got it first!”

For a few seconds things got serious… but suddenly we both burst out laughing.

Because honestly, the wave wasn’t the most important thing.

The moment was.

In surfing, sometimes friends become rivals in the lineup.
Competing for waves, each wanting to get the best ride.

But after getting out of the ocean, everything goes back to normal—
sitting together, drinking coconuts, and laughing about who had the funniest wipeout that day.

Because waves come and go.
But friendships built through the ocean… often last much longer 🌊🏄‍♂️😄
